SANDHAN is a secular non political non profit making volunteer organization registered under societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in the year 1993. The agency has been working in a few Block areas of Tumudibandha Block District such as Kandhamal.

The main thrust of the organization is to do something meaningful and needful for the volunteered mass of the under privileged society and bring equity among the people. Mainly SANDHAN has been working for the cause of socio economical and socio cultural development of the backward neglected mass. Agriculture soil and water conservation prohibition education health and sanitation family welfare mother and child care SHG promotion vocational training for youth and women etc.

From very beginning of intervention into the field of social work SANDHAN feels that these can be possible by means of group approach with full co-operation contribution and participation of the people for this special efforts has been taken up to enable the people to work group with their maximum participation cooperation and contribution in almost all development programs.

During the year the agency has enforced its commitment to affirmative action on which the strategies of SANDHAN is based. In order to achieve the goal it had mobilized the support at different strategies like community groups working with the rural people people's representative and functionaries under Panchayatraj media people Government officials donors collaborating agencies (N.G.O)etc.
